Simplifying E-Learning Localization Process
An e-learning platform that offers 50+ courses aimed to expand its global reach by localizing courses into multiple languages.
ChallengeTo translate large volumes of content from the Moodle platform without the time-consuming task of manually exporting and importing translations that would risk errors or delays. Fast turnaround time was a must!
SolutionOur team at localize.io developed a pipeline for the seamless back-and-forth exchange of files between Moodle and Crowdin, a leading Translation Management System (TMS).
How it works
1
Moodle Export:Selected courses are exported from the Moodle platform for translation.
2
Format Transformation:The content is transformed into a compatible format for the translation platform.
3
Sync with Crowdin:Course content is uploaded to Crowdin for translation, and translated content is downloaded.
4
Format Transformation:Translated content is transformed back into the Moodle-compatible format.
5
Moodle Import:Translated content is imported back onto the Moodle platform.
The pipeline runs twice a day to ensure timely updates.
